-Started out as just plain "Billy Jack" until Tom Laughlin, who made & starred in the Billy Jack movies, threatened to sue.
-Had a reputation for going out of his way to be non-confrontational and not sticking around in a territory for very long (except for Portland). He is said to have a very weak handshake and not one to raise his voice in his prime. This may have had something to do with a hair-trigger temper as there was a rumor that he once knocked a man out with his bare hand, killing him.
-Left the NWA after a confrontation with Jim Crockett in his office that became physical.
-Currently does commercials in Portland, mainly for Tan Down Under tanning salons
-In early 2006, Haynes ended up in a hospital when he was attacked outside a body shop in Portland, OR. This was due to Haynes' skimming off the top while being a mule in a marijuana smuggling operation some years ago. Unbeknownst to him, he was actually smuggling cocaine and not marijuana. Haynes himself admitted the motivation behind the attack on this person since the statute of limitations on the laws he broke had run out.Former member of The Clan
