-Given the name "Bruiser Brody" by Vince McMahon, Sr.
-An absolute legend in Japan
-Fought and lost to Dick the Bruiser over the moniker Bruiser, which led to using the name King Kong Brody.
-Brody & Gorilla Monsoon allegedly had a backstage fight, which lead to Brody being blackballed from the WWF.
-Was offered money to jump the rail and attack Mr. T spoiling the WWF's 1st WrestleMania event in 1985, but obviously turned down the offer.
-In 1985, he was the highest paid wrestler in the world, earning $14,000 per week due to a bidding war between All Japan Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
-Was Vader's first opponent.
-Donned a mask and wrestled as Red River Jack [1st] after losing a Loser Leaves Town Match in WCCW. Not to be confused with the referee of the same name that worked for NAW and 412PE
-Former member of The House of Humperdink
-Was killed on July 17, 1988 at the age of 42 after being stabbed to death in the locker room by fellow wrestler José Huertas González (Invader #1). Gonzales claimed self defense and was acquitted.
-Brody's body was cremated and the ashes were given to his family
-In February 2006, Barbara Goodish, the widow of Bruiser Brody, signed a WWE legends contract which included an action figure.
-Posthumously awarded Pro Wrestling Illustrated's PWI Editor's Award and Stanley Weston Award in 1988
-Posthumously awarded Tokyo Sports' Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988
-Posthumously inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996
-Posthumously inducted into the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2007
-Posthumously inducted into the Texas Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2013. Now known as the Southern Wrestling Hall of Fame
-Posthumously inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014
-Posthumously received the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame's Frank Gotch Award in 2018
-Posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Legacy Wing in 2019
-Brody's killing was the subject of an episode of VICE's "Dark Side of the Ring" in 2019. The episode was entitled "The Killing of Bruiser Brody" and was narrated by Mick Foley.
