-Billed as "Chris Canyon" early in his career and announced from Houston, TX. He is not to be confused with Chris Kanyon, who competed in WCW and WWE
-Used the name Boom Boom Bundy in the AWA. He couldn't use the name King Kong because Bruiser Brody had to be King Kong Brody due to Dick the Bruiser having laid claim there to the "Bruiser" nickname.

-When he started competing in MSWA, he demanded that the referee count to 5 when he pinned opponents. While that idea was attributed to promoter Bill Watts, it was actually the idea of Jim Ross.
-Bundy's trademark bald appearance is the result of losing to Fritz Von Erich in Fritz's retirement match.
-Appeared in the movies "Moving" in 1988, "Bill's Seat" in 2002, and "Fight the Panda Syndicate" in 2008
-Appeared in an episode of the TV show "Married With Children" in 1988 and 1995, and "Weird Science" in 1996.
-The family on "Married With Children" is named Bundy after King Kong Bundy. He portrayed Uncle Irwin on the show.
-Immortalized in song by "I'll Take The Five", a tribute to Bundy's career performed by wrestling manager Kenny Casanova
-His cage match against WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania III was the first Steel Cage Match in WrestleMania history.
