Other Facts: -Began their career as members of Power Team USA using their real names Steve Borden and Jim Hellwig along with Mark Miller and Garland Donoho and manager Rick Bassman. Miller and Donoho quit the business after a short time due to lack of success and business savvy.
-After Power Team USA disbanded, Borden & Hellwig continued on as a tag team called The Freedom Fighters. Borden was known as Flash, while Hellwig was known as Justice. Because they were essentially bodybuilders and lacked thorough training, the team was raw and brutal, easily hurting opponents with their stiff maneuvers which led to their stay in Memphis being a short one.
-Changed their team name to The Blade Runners upon arrival in CWA. Originally, they were still known as Jim Hellwig and Steve Borden. Later, Hellwig changed his name to Rock and Borden changed his name to Sting.
-Their greatest success came after the team broke up and they went their separate ways.
-Less than 6 months after arriving in Mid-South/UWF, Hellwig had a falling out with UWF owner Bill Watts and left the promotion for WCCW and becoming The Dingo Warrior, before finally ending up in WWF as The Ultimate Warrior. Sting remained in UWF until the company was sold to Jim Crockett promotions and became a part of WCW where Sting became a star.
-Reunited for one match in WCW, although not using The Blade Runners moniker, during a "WCW Monday Nitro" show on October 11, 1998 against Hulk Hogan & Bret Hart. Sting & Warrior won via DQ due to interference from the nWo.
-Former members of Hyatt & Hotstuff International
