Other Facts: -Real name was Raymond Walter Traylor, Jr.
-Formerly known as War Machine, not to be confused with the UFC fighter of the same name who also appeared in adult films, nor the pro wrestling tag team of Hanson & Ray Rowe.
-Got his "Big Bubba" gimmick as a result of a match on the TBS "World Championship Wrestling" show from February 15, 1986, against Tully Blanchard. Traylor really was a prison guard from Marietta, GA, at the time who had virtually no wrestling training and was used as a job guy. When Dusty Rhodes saw how big the guy was and how smooth he went up for "little" Tully's slingshot suplex, he figured he could do something with him.
-As Bubba Rogers, he used the nickname "Big" and hailed from Louisville, KY
-As The Boss and The Man, he hailed from Atlanta, GA
-As The Guardian Angel, he hailed from New York, NY
-After leaving WWF the first time and returning to WCW, he could not use Big Bossman as his moniker because WWF owned the trademark on the name. WCW started calling him The Boss, then was known as The Man, then was known as The Guardian Angel based on the New York City organization The Guardian Angels. Originally they had permission from Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa. When the agreement with Sliwa fizzled, they repackaged him as Bubba Rogers before finally settling on his real name Ray Traylor.
-Briefly served as a trainer in Ohio Valley Wrestling
