-Formerly known as Apocalypse when wrestling in Tennessee. Not to be confused with the tag team of the same name, nor the wrestler that wrestles primarily in Texas.
-Studied wrestling and judo since the age of 11 and was a legit Judo champion while in the Marines.
-While in the service he was the All-Marine Judo champion and earned a spot on the 1964 Olympic team. Unfortunately, he broke his leg prior to the Games and was unable to compete.
-Landed in Minnesota where he was trained for a professional wrestling career by Eddie Sharkey and Verne Gagne.
-Made his pro debut, working under his real name on the lower end of cards in the AWA..
-Gulf Coast Wrestling changed his name to Mike Boyette upon his arrival because they didn't want the fans to confuse him with Bob Boyer. He also bore a strong resemblance to Mario Galento, whose true name was Butch Boyette.
-Helped Michael Hayes break into wrestling in 1977
-While in UWF as Mike Boyette, he had a jobber gimmick where he had a losing record of 0 wins and 197 losses.
-Passed away on December 6, 2012 at the age of 71
