-Served in the United States Navy
-Competed as The Mighty Yankee, though he is not believed to be either of the men who used that masked identity in 1961 in Oklahoma.

-Not to be confused with Sandor Szabo, who retired in 1960 and became a referee.
-Passed away on January 9, 2005 at the age of 92, due to natural causes.
