Other Facts: -Real name was Lucille O’Casey
-Wrestled barefoot after a bad experience early in her career. A pair of opponents double teamed her in a corner, tied her laces together, and heaved her under the bottom ring ropes to the floor. Casey landed awkwardly and broke both ankles at one time.
-Was working in the Mobile, AL wrestling office in 1960 for the Fields family when she met the Fabulous Moolah. She went to give the wrestlers their pay and Moolah asked to see her legs, then told her she trained wrestlers.
-Tagged with Judy Grable and made her pro debut against Rita Cortez & Brenda Scott.
-Met Elvis Presley in the mid-1960s when she was on a card in Indianapolis at the same time that Elvis was playing a concert.
-Found drugs in her teenage son's bedroom and was told by her son that a truck driver was using him as a transport. She contacted the police and got this man arrested. Shortly after that, she was shot while in her car 5 times. One bullet lodged in her left leg, two grazed her head, one passed through her chest (just missing her heart) and one lodged in her liver. She died twice before surgery to remove the bullets was completed and was told by the doctor that she would never wrestle again. She was back in the ring several months later.
-Wrestled her last match against Judy Grable in 1990
-Voted Girl of the Year in the PWI Year-End Awards in 1975.
-Passed away March 1, 2021 at the age of 82. Her last social media post from February 16, indicated she was undergoing tests for cancer.
