Other Facts: -Was an AAU National Wrestling champion at Oklahoma State University. In 1958, he was seeded #1 in the 157 lbs. weight class, which was considered by some to be the toughest weight class to compete in. He won the title again in 1959.
-Participated in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia
