-This is the 1st wrestler to use the name Chief Chewacki.
-Considered by many to be the father of the foreign object.
-For a long time, he was promoted as a former boxer named Billy Daniels and claimed to have knocked out former Hevyweight Boxing Champion Max Schmelling. This story has proven to be false.
-Can claim the distinction of being suspended by practically every athletic commission to ever sanction wrestling.
-Frequently camped out on courthouse lawns with a tent and announced he was reclaiming the land for the Indians. He allowed himself to be arrested for trespassing multiple times and places, as a publicity stunt to help fill arenas.
-An angry fan once pulled a gun on Chief Chewacki, who fainted -- and later claimed he was poisoned by another fan.
-Served in the Navy in World War II and was stationed in bases in Oklahoma and Illionis. He also claimed to have been hit by shrpanel twice while on tour in the South Pacific.
-Retired from the sport sometime towards the end of the 1940s.
-Pulled many weird ring antics that are dealt with in the book, "Whatever Happened To Gorgeous George".
